Job Description

The MCC, forming part of the integrated OCC Team, provide a Technical Focal Point to UA Operations and contracted P145 suppliers. They will provide the control and oversight of all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance affecting all aspects of engineering and maintenance for the in-Operation aircraft fleet though best in industry short term planning, and the safe and efficient execution of said plan.

This position is only available on a shift basis including weekends and public holidays.  

Duties and Essential Job Functions:

·   Communicate with all P145 line stations and contracted maintenance organizations on all Maintenance matters.

·   Interface with the duty OCC Manager, ensuring they are aware of any maintenance matters that might affect the Operation or our Customers.

·   Interface with Universal Air Maintenance ( P145) Duty Engineers

·   Interface with all Operational Key Stake holders

·   Update aircraft status spreadsheets and ERP system.

·   Monitor all outstanding deferred defects and drive for timely closure.

·   Control OOP’s when it may affect operational commitments via liaison with planning.

·   Monitor aircraft fleet hours and cycles.

·   Applications for Concessions, Variations, RIE

·   Communications with aircraft via VHF/HF/ACARS/SATCOM

·   Uphold and follow the UA SMS Procedures

·   Flying program and maintenance forecast review over next 7 days

·   Detailed Delay recording that will allow route cause analysis at a later date

·   Allow adequate time for shift handover to ensure all relevant information is transferred.

·   Short Term Planning and monitoring of maintenance operational requirements

·   AOG/Technical Delay rescue co-ordination and recovery.

·   AOG/Tech Delay update reports iaw company policy

·   Approve AOG Purchase Orders out of hours.

·   Update contracted maintenance organization on any revised time for specialist maintenance activity or hangar input due to operational reasons.

·   Liaise with Hangar Production teams or UA tech reps for regular updates for aircraft return to service post base maintenance and casualty maintenance.

·   Work Closely with MCC Material Supervisor supporting on time material availability.

·   Monitor aircraft base transfers and nights stops away from Base.

·   Monitor aircraft parts pre-load status at line stations for defect clearing and parts no longer needed.

·   Maintain an accurate shift log throughout the duty period.

·   Advise senior management of all reportable incidents and maintain an incident log

·   Maintain the highest standards of safety and quality for the airline.

·   Demonstrate a continuous improvement attitude.

·  Be aware of existing and new repetitive defect reports.

·   Prepare and present MCC Update at Daily Ops Briefing

·  Chair the Monthly Tech Delay Meeting

·  Visit Line Maintenance and base maintenance from time to time to gain overview and understanding of on-going work in a company rep capacity.

·  Maintain type rating where held.

·  Carry out any additional duties as requested by Manager.
