Job Description
Universal Air (UA) is a Malta-based air operator expanding rapidly within the scheduled airline market. Our fleet continues to grow to meet demand, and we expect a significant increase in operations over 2024.
Reporting to the CCO, you’ll be expected to manage our relationship with the key players in our target markets, focused on growing revenue in all the geographic areas and market sectors in which we operate.
Key Responsibilities
- You’ll take responsibility for our direct ticket sales, as well as our charter and ACMI sales;
- You’ll build relationships with our existing GSAs and travel agents, keeping them informed of our plans and working with them to build sales targets, in agreement with the Head of Revenue Management;
- You’ll work to identify and bring aboard new GSAs and agents;
- You will manage the Charter Sales Manager, building relationships with key brokers and other chartering organisations, ensuring the ambitious targets you agree with the Charter Sales Manager are met;
- You’ll feedback to the Head of Revenue Management, providing key market data from the agents;
Other things in your brief:
o Analysis of trends and development as an input to sales strategies
o Evaluate performance and post-departure trends to identify and leverage future opportunities while improving the revenue potential for each market
o Performing frequent ad-hoc analyses and assist with capacity decision-making for future months
o Communicate market performance results to senior management
o Collaborate with Operations and other teams to ensure alignment on market strategies.
Requirements
- Right to live and work in the EU
- This role will involve significant travel
- Significant sales experience in the airline scheduled and charter markets
- Proven success in building and maintaining critical relationships with customers
- Holder of a bachelor’s degree or above in business, maths or a scientific/numerate discipline
- Excellent communicator with good command of spoken and written English – other European languages would be an advantage
- Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels and across all functions
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment that requires excellent time management and the ability to multi-task and prioritise.
