Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Network and Schedule Planning (HNSP), The Crew Planning Manager will lead the Crew Planning team to ensure optimal planning of all Flight and Cabin Crew rosters, including training, from publication until 72hrs prior to the day of operation, ensuring rosters are optimised and fully compliant with Flight Time Limitations (FTLs), scheduling agreements and fatigue management.

 

Duties:

  • To ensure efficiency in the manpower utilization of Universal Air crew members, effective implementation and adherence to relating policies and procedures, and compliance with all relevant regulations and operating standards.
  • To establish/develop procedures, systems or tools to enhance the performance and productivity in the respective areas whilst constantly guiding, coaching and training the team members to develop and enhance their capabilities, professional confidence, and morale.
  • Ensure crew resources are adequate to fulfil the commercial schedule, highlighting any shortfall or risks within the delivery of the commercial schedule.
  • Participate in the risk assessment of hazards identified in the crew planning, resourcing, and logistics domain.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and comment on the future and current commercial schedule as well as aircraft onboarding.
  • Analyze and report on periodic crew planning, resourcing and logistics, including violations.
  • Lead and manage the administrative and operational areas of Crew Planning and OCC Scheduling ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of tasks in the highest possible standards compliant with all policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Study and recommend the annual budget requirements of Flight and Cabin Crew Operations in line with the approved annual flight schedules budget, ensuring all Universal Air flights are covered and other operational requirements are accomplished without delay.
  • Work closely with Flight and Cabin Crew Operations and Crew Training on identifying potential improvements to current procedures, policies and practices to enhance the section’s efficiency and improve both internal and external processes.
  • Collaborate with Safety and Quality Assurance departments in addressing identified and potential safety and compliance issues related to Crew Planning and Control’s scope and responsibilities.
  • Ensure that required reports and other deliverables of Crew Planning and Control are transmitted, and adhere to agreed time lines and confidential reporting guidelines.
  • Shift work may be required to cover sickness and / or Leave within the Crew Planning team.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years in Crew Planning.
  • Experience in AIMS/FL3XX is desired but not essential
  • Experience in PPS is desired but not essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft MS suite.
  • Flexibility, organisation and teamwork
  • Have the right to work within the EU.
