Job Description

ProfileReporting to Head of Commercial Strategy & Sales, the Head of Network and Schedule Planning (HNSP) is responsible for the development and strategic execution of all airline planning activity, supporting various activities across the company as required with emphasis on the Airline Network, Scheduling, Chartering opportunities and ACMI Project Management.

 

You will be accountable for the identification, evaluation and development of flying programme for Universal Air as well as the review and consolidation of future planning based on data and trends. You will lead the development of prospects for new business opportunities whilst understanding and leading prioritisation of route requirements.

ResponsibilitiesIncluding but not limited to:

·         Manage the Network and Schedule planning team to ensure maximum utilisation of the Universal Air Commercial schedule as well as Charter and ACMI opportunities considering all relevant commercial and operational requirements.

·         Lead the team of Analysts and officers responsible for the production and analysis of the schedule forecast, ACMI Forecast and Charter requests, ensuring maximum utilisation and profit for the company.

·         Aligning and managing the communication and approval process between the NSP team and other departments.

·         Negotiate Traffic rights and slots within the specified time periods to ensure a smooth and profitable operation in line with Regulatory restrictions.

·         In conjunction with Revenue Management and Commercial, assess route performance, passenger demand and growth trends to facilitate a cost effective and profitable flight network.

·         Assessing and recommending new routes and markets based on strategic fit, financial potential, growth opportunity, risks, and possible entry points.

·         Review the flight network to detect profitability gaps, underutilisation and potential route growth in liaison with the Revenue management and Commercial team.

·         Lead the team in planning future schedules to ensure efficient budgeting and resource planning throughout the whole company.

·         Drive forward to priority commercial initiatives ensuring cross-functional actions are completed.

·         Ensure continuous training and provide development opportunities to the Network and Scheduling team.

·         Develop action plans to improve or withdraw from underperforming routes and to optimize outperforming routes.

·         Loading and managing flight capacity in FL3XX

·         Lead the preparation and development of Board materials and regular senior management reports.

Experience and Qualifications·         5 years work experience in Aviation Planning and Operations or a Tertiary qualification in a relevant field

·         Experience directly or indirectly leading teams with significant enterprise and/or top line revenue responsibility

·         Demonstrated ability to solve and lead others in solving complex analytical problems

·         Ability to manage a team and support critical business decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

·         Ability to build collaborative relationships with and consensus amongst multiple stakeholders with varying points of view at all levels of the organisation

·         Ability to solve and to lead others in solving complex analytical problems
Independent work ethic, inquisitive nature and history of challenging the status-quo
