Job Description

Universal Air (UA) is a Malta-based air operator expanding rapidly within the scheduled airline market. Our fleet continues to grow to meet demand, and we expect a significant increase in operations over 2024 into 2025.

Job Description

Reporting to the Ground Ops Manager/Deputy VP Airports, you’ll be expected to work on a full range of fuel management-related areas associated with the operation of Universal Air.

The primary focus of the role is to ensure the cost-effective, on-time delivery of on-specification jet fuel to each of the Company’s operating aircraft.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Managing/coordinating databases and data collection
  • Serving as the key administrator of the fuel contract handling in IT tool
  • Compiling financial calculation and building Excel models for proposal evaluation
  • Supporting the service contracting process
  • Constant cooperation with Universal Air operational departments and stakeholders
  • External stakeholder and fuel contract management.

    Requirements:

  • Education: Finalized College or University degree
  • Team player with ‘can do’ and ‘hungry for learning’ attitude
  • Minimum 1-3 years of work experience with airline industry and jet fuel suppliers
  • Procurement and analyst background is an advantage
  • Fluent English knowledge (both spoken and written)
  • Strong interpersonal skill to be able to efficiently communicate, build relationships and cooperation and drive projects forward
  • Attention to detail on deliverables, daily routines, and complex task management
  • Analytical mindset for updating the internal commercial data base
  • Ability to work on multiple priorities and under time pressure with accuracy and efficiency
  • Flexibility in adapting to changes in the environment, expectations, and priorities
  • Good MS Office knowledge (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) is a must.
