Job Description
Reporting to the Part-145 Maintenance Manager or the Deputy, you’ll be carrying out a range of maintenance tasks on our fleet of Dash8 Q-400 aircraft, in a dynamic and fast growing young airline.
Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance tasks on aircraft in compliance with contracted services and customer expectations
- Certify to the fullest extent of their authorisations held including a CRS in aircraft technical logbook
- Ensure aircraft maintenance and associated activities are conducted in accordance with approved data and company procedures (MOE)
- Ensure all maintenance is correctly certified in accordance with the customer’s requirements
- Supervise and control the daily operation of aircraft maintenance
- Monitor aircraft maintenance operations and provide technical assistance / management co-ordination.
- Be assigned to line stations within the company network
- Establish and promote a safe working environment and culture, conductive to good and efficient maintenance practices.
- Ensure the maintenance facilities provided, are maintained as an appropriately working environment for the tasks being undertaken.
- Monitor that all tools, equipment and materials are present to perform the planned tasks.
- Notify the Manager or supervisor whenever deficiencies emerge which require his/her attention in respect of personnel, facilities and tools & equipment.
- Alert the customer when unforeseen problems arise so that appropriate arrangements can be made to cover all contingencies.
- Monitor storage facilities for parts, tools, equipment and materials.
- Monitor the segregation of components or parts stored or removed from aircraft pending return to the customer or other disposal action.
- Monitor the rectification or deferral of defects in accordance with the customer’s procedures.
- Retain safely and securely the records of maintenance carried out on customer aircraft.
- Manage AOG events.
- Assist with training and development of company staff.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- B1, or B1&B2 EASA Licenced
- Q400 Type rated endorsed on the license (other types will be considered and type rating training will be provided)
- Recent on Q400 type; 6 months within the last 2 years
- Experience in Line maintenance
- In possession of a valid passport
- In possession of a vehicle driving license
This position requires that the candidate:
- Be rotated to network line station when needed to support the airline’s needs
- Be assigned Flying Spanner assignments within the airline fleet
- Is willing to work a 2 weeks ON 2 weeks OFF schedule consisting of days and nights. Some flexible hours and shifts may be required to suit business exigencies.
- Is living in Malta or willing to relocate to Malta at the main Line station
- Is willing to travel on short notice
- Is willing to be assigned to the airline’s other Line stations as and when required.
Salary:
- A daily rate of €330 will be given for duty ON days.
